Château La Voûte, La Clef de Voûte 2018

Flag of France

Head winemaker, Gaëtan Moreau, has been in charge of this 2.27 hectare estate since 1993. With Grand Cru vineyards situated in the world-renowned appelation of Saint Émilion, the team at Château La Voûte focus solely on the Merlot grape, where it blossoms wonderfully to give the Château precise, elegant and distinguished wines. La Clef de Voûte 2018 is made from 100% Merlot and is the second wine of the Château, made from the estate's younger vines, which still are at an impressive 30 years of age. Lively purple in colour with violet reflections, notes of fleshy black-berry, cassis, raspberry, sour cherry and violet move to an equally fruity, juicy, well-balanced palate which offers a defined, well-rounded and fresh finish. A lighter-styled Bordeaux which is a great pair with poultry, game or even charcuterie.
